Celebrity chef, author and flamboyant culinary traveller, Reza Mahammad is currently filming his new TV show REZA’S AFRICAN KITCHEN right here in South Africa. This series takes Reza on a journey through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique, cooking and relishing our cuisine and meeting the friendly people of our sub-continent.

    Reza in the cabbage patch

Reza selects some greens with supervision from KK and Freddy

The first episode of the new series was filmed right here in Prince Albert.  Reza and the RAPID BLUE/ FOOD NETWORK crew spent three days here at African Relish cooking up some local delicacies and experiencing the tranquillity and natural beauty of the Karoo.

Hendry Olivier gives Reza some baking tips

Flamboyant and outrageous to the end, Reza kept us all thoroughly entertained and falling about with laughter as we moved about filming the quirky, the delicious and the spectacular.

    Reza and his flock

He got up close and personal with some local sheep and even had to forge a few swollen rivers, slip and slide through snow up the Swartberg Pass and caught a moment to make a snowman as well.

Reza chills with his new friend

Reza will be returning to Prince Albert from 14 – 16 September to come and share his exotic and spicy cooking secrets with us at African Relish. Be sure to book your place so you do not miss the opportunity to enjoy his wisdom and his company in our kitchen.

    It's 'snow' surprise!

The new series REZA’S AFRICAN KITCHEN will be screened on Food Network on DSTV Channel 186 in 2013. Dates are still to be advised.
