In this course centred around the staff of life, our resident chef will teach you the principles of bread baking. From a simple nutty brown loaf to a genuine sourdough bread baked in a wood-fired oven, this is a course about the magic you can create with four simple ingredients: flour, yeast, salt, water.
Learn how to make your own sourdough starter. Understand wet and dry doughs, different flours or how to knead. Create your own ciabatta, baguettes, seed loaves, roosterkoek, farm bread, rye and sourdough on this day-long course in our kitchen. If time allows us you could also master bagels, brioche, naan, potato bread and hot cross buns.
This course is only available as a full day class and starts at 09:00. Includes lunch and a take-away hamper.
