Now we head toward mid-winter, what we at African Relish call the secret season, our cooking classes and themed events take on that seasonal flavour. Our chefs adapt their Karoo, Tapas, Heritage and themed cooking classes to this season.

We have a busy schedule of cooking classes, weddings, cycle groups and other celebrations and look forward to discussing any gathering where you feel Prince Albert would be an appropriate location. These are other town events happening over winter.

  • Winter Warmers: Accommodation offer for 2 nights self-catering accommodation and a half day cooking class inclusive of a meal.
  • It is Hunting season for those that are keen to try the large variety venison from nearby farms. Contact Madri at Karoo Country Food and Events +27 82 774 5609 to arrange.

We are changing our dinner offering from a regular restaurant offering to event based dinners and seasonal long tables. As such, the Chef’s Cafe Restaurant at African Relish, as you might know it, will be closed from the 6th May 2024.

Please contact Virna van der Walt for any enquiries you might have +27 72 582 8749.
