The first of our summer gourmet getaways is a weekend of bistro cooking with Executive Chef Stef Marais of Societi Bistro in Cape Town.


Join us in our kitchen during October and November for a series of invited chef weekends. We kick off with a return visit of chef extraordinaire Stef Marais from 23rd – 25th October. Join him in putting some French class into Karoo ingredients. Gourmet getaway weekends include two nights accommodation, all meals, cooking classes and any activities. We are thrilled to have coaxed award winning food blogger and cook book author Sam Linsell to our kitchen. Bring your camera! Besides sharing recipes from her recipes books Drizzle and Dip and Sweet Sam will also hold a food styling and photography workshop over the weekend of 30 Oct – 1 Nov.

The Boss of Bacon returns in November for another popular masterclass in the Art of Charcuterie. Join this master class on the weekend of 6 – 8 November in learning the ancient art of curing and preserving meat.

The last weekend in November sees Gerlinde Vassen hosting our very first Yoga Retreat and cooking course in sustainable healthy living.
