Prince Albert Winter School  7 – 16 August 2015

This years Winter School runs over 10 days. Starting over the coming long weekend this creative programme covers courses and excursions with local experts and skilled artisans. Options include cookery, jewellery-making, yoga, blacksmithing, interior design, camera skills, storytelling, star-gazing, poetry readings, art films and talks, oil painting, geological, historical and ecological excursions. More activities to whet your appetite include the RedBus tour through town; a Gallery walk; a birding outing to the Swartberg Pass and a guided fynbos and succulent walk through the Karoo.

Think of it as a perfect winter break to the Karoo to enjoy clear warm days, great meals, and a choice of accommodation.

Our cooking school has an extensive programme including a Chefs Table on Friday 7th August. A tasty array of ½ day morning classes cover themes like: No Sugar, No Gluten; Adding Flavour to Food; Hearty Stews & Winter Warmers and What’s For Breakfast. Costs per person for the morning sessions are R350 per person inclusive of lunch. Book through the website.

Other events this weekend include The Prince Albert registered Parkrun takes place on Saturday 8th August at 08h00. The annual NGK Bazaar also takes place Saturday morning.  The famous 30 x 40 art auction happens at the Prince Albert art gallery on Saturday afternoon. View the unsigned canvasses by well known local artists and place your bid.

An extensive daily programme runs until Sunday 16th August.
